Job Description
-
- Establish client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Attend onsite and consultants’ meetings and liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and associate consultants in the administration of projects.
- Interpret architectural or engineering drawings and specifications to prepare project costs.
- Prepare various main building & road contracts, piling contracts and nominated sub-contracts for tender and contract formalization.
- Measure and take off quantities for architectural, structural, civil and MEP work elements.
- Administer pre and post contract and consultancy work.
- Prepare cost plans and budget studies.
- Assess variation costs, prepare interim valuations for contractor’s progress claim.
- Compile contract documents for execution.
- Understand and adhere to the statutory building & road regulations.
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance of project work.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Maintain awareness of different building & road contracts in current use.
- Valuing completed work and arrange payments.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/her immediate superior.
- Shall perform other duties that his/her immediate superior may assign from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
- Bachelor / College Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred. Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is also acceptable.
- 5-10 years’ experience working on capital improvement construction infrastructure/civil projects.
- Technical experience in all cost management areas; planning, estimating, pre-contract post contract and final account.
- Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.

Responsible in preparing, monitoring, updating, and revising the construction schedule as necessary. He monitors the accomplishments at site and analyzes its effect on the project schedule. The Planning & Scheduling Engineer prepares the methodology applicable to existing/actual site condition and its required resources.
Job Description
- Prepares Project Methodology, Detailed Work Schedule, Procurement Plan, Resources Loading, and Establishing Cash Flow needed for the project.
- Plans and develops three-week and three-month realistic look-ahead schedule.
- Re-planning and establishing of Impacted schedule.
- Develops and implements acceptable planning and scheduling techniques and methods.
- Leads the development and analysis of project schedules, time impact and delay analysis and review of periodic schedule updates and claims.
- Monitors and updates accurate schedule progress reports. Maintains records of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
- Assists in monitoring actual manpower, critical materials and major equipment requirement of the project.
- Prepares Project Monthly Progress Report including observations and comments, photographs, resource loading and issues concerning the project.
- Coordinates with the OMD – Project Planning and Cost Control Department for the accomplishment reports.
- Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
